This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Item 1: Transformer, Pad Mounted, 150 KVA Radial Feed, 480/277 Volts WYE Secondary, 1 each; Item 2: Transformer, Pad Mounted, 75 KVA, Radial Feed, 208/120 Volts WYE Secondary, 1 each; Item 3: Transformer, Pad Mounted, 45 KVA, Radial Feed, 208/120 Volts WYE Secondary, 1 each; Item 4: Transformer, Pad Mounted, 225 KVA, Radial Feed, 480/277 Volts WYE Secondary, 1 each; Item 5: Transformer, Pad Mounted, 300 KVA, Loop Feed, 208/120 Volts WYE Secondary, 1 each; Item 6: Transformer, Pad Mounted, 300 KVA, Radial Feed, 480/277 Volts WYE Secondary, 1 each; Item 7: Transformer, Pad Mounted, 225 KVA, Loops Feed, 208/120 Volts WYE Secondary, 1 each. All items 1 through 7 have the same specifications as listed: The specifications shall apply to each line item on this purchase request, with exceptions as listed with each line item: Pad Mounted Transformer, Three (3) Phase, Oil filled, 65 Degrees C Rise, Class OA, 60 Hz, Aluminum windings, 30 Degrees C Average ambient, Primary Voltage 12.47 KV Delta, 95 KV Bil, with 2-2.5% FCAN and FCBN Taps, Standard impendance, Dead front radial or loop feed on the primary side, secondary side 208/120 Volts WYE or 480/277 Volts WYE (as specified on each line item), standard low voltage bushings with the following accessories: 1. Thremometer, 2. Liquid Level Gauge, 3. Pressue Vacuum Gauge, 4. 1" Drain and Sample Valve, 5. Non PCB oil with label stating such, 6. Danger Sign, 7. Painted Pad Mounted Green, 8. 2-Position On/Off Switch located on the primary side., 9. Bay-O-Net fusing with dual sensing link located on primary side. All metallic components of the transformer including the tank, base, compartment, radiators (if applicable) door hinges, door handles, and mounting hardware shall be stainless steel. All transformers shall be supplied with load break inserts. All shipping charges are to be prepaid and allowed. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-104. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3612 and 750, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Va 23337 is required within 30 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above may be mailed or faxed to the identified point of contact [or bid distribution office, by the date/time specified and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL: http://procure.arc.nasa.gov/Acq/Standard_Forms/Index.html to submit a quotation. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin. Quotations are due by May 20, 1998 to the address specified above. Selection and award will be made (on an aggregate basis) to the lowest priced, technically acceptable quoter. Technical acceptability will be determined by information submitted by the quoter providing a description in sufficient detail to show that the product quoted meets the Government's requirement.
