J -- PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR GE MRI SIGNA HISPEED 1.0T SOL IFB 548-07-98 DUE 061898 POC Juanita Lyons 561-882-6516 or Donna Nelson 561-882-6510 Contractor will repair and perform preventive maintenance on General Electric MRI Equipment SIGNA HISPEED 1.0T MRI at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, West Palm Beach Florida, 33410. The contractor will cover all MRI components including the super conducting magnet which includes the MRI magnet, cryostats, coldhead, shield cooler compressor shim coils, and water chillers. The contractor will also be responsible for all cyrogen transfills which will include monitoring the level of cyrogens within the cyrostat, scheduling the delivery of, and deliver cyrogens in non-magnetic dewar containers to the site. Sic code is 3845. Normal period of performance will be approximately on or about July 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999 with (1) one-year renewal option. Bidding materials will be available on or about May 18, 1999. All requests for solicitation documents must be received in writing and must be received by the contracting officer within 15 calendar days of publication of this notice.
