After expeditious evaluation and treatment, patients requiring admission are referred to appropriate inpatient services. Patients who can be treated as outpatients will be provided suitable medications, instructions, and follow-up to included further testing and referral to specialty, subspecialty or prmary care provides. The Cincinnati VA Emergency Room has a level III trauma designation. Major trauma cases are not brought to this facility and there is no pediatric patient population.
