COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MAY 5,1998 PSA#2088BAA-NOTICE TO VENDORS AND CUSTOMER SEURVEY -- NAVY LOGISITICS LIBRARY
Beginning on 30 May 1998 selected NAVICP procurement data will be
available in the Navy Logistics Library (NLL). The NLL is a virtual
library located on the WEB at http://www.mll.navsup.navy.mil. The
following information and services will be available on line through
the NLL: (1) Automated Bidset Ordering Process -- This is a feature of
the NLL which will allow the user to order drawings for NAVICP
soliciations. The process is located at:
http://www.mll.navsup.navy.mil/navicp/order on the WEB. Drawings will
be sent via U.S.Mail on CD-ROM. Instructions are available on line to
assist users with the ordering process. (2) Contract Support Documents
(CSD) -- Currently Special Packaging Instructions (SPI), Technical
Manual Contract Requirement (TMCR), General Purpose Electronic Test
Equipment (GPETE), Logistic Support Analyst Record (LSARs) and a
Commodity Listing are available. Other features are available from a
pull down screen annotated "Try These Links". The user can access all
these documentsfrom the NLL page by activiating the Contract Support
Document button on the NLL Home page. All documents appear in .pdf for
use of any interested party. Documents can be printed from the .pdf as
needed. It is anticipated that new documents will become available in
the future and appropriate announcements will be made as these
documents are put on the WEB. It is anticipated that other services
will be added to the NLL related to the procurement process at NAVICP.
Broad Agency Announcements via CBD Notices will be forthcoming as
these features come on line. Points of Contact for all features of the
NLL are inlcuded on the NLL Page. Users with questions concerning a
particular feature can contact the appropriate POC for that feature.
