Climate Variability and Water Resource Management in the Southeastern
U.S. was sponsored in June 1997 by the National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA), US Geological Survey (USGS) and National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), as part of an assessment of the
national-scale consequences of global climate change. The overall

variability and potential vulnerability to future climate change on
various economic sections in the southeastern states of Alabama,
Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North
