Y -- CONSTRUCTION OF FACILITIES AT THE IMPERIAL BEACH BORDER PATROL STATION, SAN DIEGO, CA SOL GS-09P-98-KTC-0062 DUE 070198 POC Elisa Sanchez, Contracting Officer (415) 522-3162/Frankie Guswiler (415) 522-3094 for Solicitation The General Services Administration (GSA) has a requirement to provide all labor, materials, equipment and all incidentals to perform construction at the Imperial Beach Border Patrol Station. Work includes a new 20,000 square feet general office and storage building, a vehicle maintenance building with 4 repair bays, a car wash and fueling facility, general site development and parking for 500 vehicles. Site development includes fencing, signage, CCTV, paving and striping. The estimated cost range of construction is between $6,000,000 and $7,000,000. This procurement is under the small business test demonstration program and is open to small and large businesses. In the event award is made to a large business concern, a small business subcontracting plan will be required in accordance with Public Law 95.507. The Prime Contractor will be required to perform at least twenty percent of the work. A 20% Bid Bond is required. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required prior to receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The Solicitation Package will be available approximately May 26, 1998. A limited number of solicitation packages will be available and will be issued on a first-come first-served basis. The date and time of the Pre-Bid/Site Visit will be specified in the solicitation.
