The work includes, but is not limited to asbestos (ACM) and lead paint removal; replacement of exterior stairs and walkways; exterior windows; interior doors; covering existing ceramic tile walls with furring strips, insulation & gypsum wallboard; providing all new finishes; replacing HVAC system; removing existing plumbing & replacing with new; replacing existing light fixtures, receptacles, switches, panelboards & fire detection system; replacing pole mounted transformers w/exterior pad mounted transformers; replacing overhead electrical service w/underground service; demolition and construction of a two-story addition; new sidewalks, stairs & driveways; provide all landscaping. All work to be performed under a single lump sum firm fixed- price contract. The solicitation will be available o/a 15 May 1998. The per- formance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered as the solicitation will be issued under full and open competition.
