The areas of interest for the cost-shared CRADA's are: Data Mining, Knowledge Representation, and Knowledge Management; Knowledge Management in a Real or Virtual Distributed Enterprise; Technical Uncertainty & Decision Making; Enterprise Modeling & Risk Management for Decision Making; Virtual Enterprise for Reservoir Management; and other related ideas in Advanced Computation for the Oil & Gas Industry. These CRADA's will be cost shared with Los Alamos' portion being funded through the Defense Programs -- Industrial Partnership (DPIP) Program. The selected industrial partner(s) will be responsible for their portion of the funding, through funds-in and/or in-kind contributions. The objective of these CRADA's is to develop applications of advanced computational capabilities and technologies for use by oil & gas industry companies and Los Alamos National Laboratory. Los Alamos offers unique expertise and capabilities to team with private industry; however, any teaming arrangements will be subject to competitive partner selection and successful CRADA negotiations. Any company that is interested in pursuing this partnering opportunity or that wishes to receive more information should respond with a formal letter of interest describing the company's interest, technical expertise, and motivation for participation in the program. The expression of interest must be dated within fourteen days from the date of this notice. After letters are received outlining specific interests, a packet of information will be sent out. This packet will include short project overviews, a document outlining partner selection criteria and next steps.
