The Hazardous Materials Response and Assessment Division (HMRAD)of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Ocean Service requires Information Sciences Support for oil and hazardous chemical release prevention, preparedness, response, removal and restoration actions. Contractor tasks include: 1) Provide information support services during spill response and restoration activities. These include on-scene information sciences support and design, development and maintenance of information sciences systems to support response actions. 2) Prevention, preparedness and remediation support services. These include design, development and testing of information systems components and data to support community emergency preparedness, development and implementation of systems and graphics input for prevention and preparedness activities, design and development of systems to allow telecommunications links between federal, state and local government systems, and design, development and application of information sciences capabilities that streamline the use of information. 3) Waste site response information management services. These include reporting of waste site activities and database support. 4) Information sciences system training and support. Systems include CAMEO, ALOHA, Spill Tools, MARPLOT, among others. The contract performance period shall be one base year and four option years. It is estimated that approximately 11,000 labor hours of support will be required annually.
