The ARINC Corporation is currently providing engineering services to integrate the FMS-800 System and the global positioning system into the Avionics System of the C-5 Aircraft. Under the proposed solicitation, a contract will be awarded on a Sole Source basis. This contract will be for engineering oversight support services and for supplements to Technical Order manuals. These services are in support of software developed by the prime vendor of the FMS-800 Flight Management System, which is Rockwell-Collins Inc. There is no complete data package available to make this a competitive buy. Award will be made on a sole-source basis to the ARINC Corporation.
