THIS IS A SET ASIDE FOR SMALL EMERGING BUSINESSES. ONLY BUSINESSES HAVING GROSSED LESS THAN 8.5M AVERAGE DURING THE PAST 3 YEARS SHOULD RESPOND. This award will be made under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (up to $100,000.). A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday May 13, 1998 at 9:30 a.m.. This will be the only site visit scheduled. Mechanical general scope and drawings shall be picked up at the site visit. All interested bidders shall meet in the hallway outside the room 6A331. Contractors must notify the Contracting Officer of their intention to attend the site visit at fax number 703/648-7901 no later than 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 1998. Work to be performed will include: constructing ceilings, walls, doors, jams, door stops and electric inside and outside new walls. Any source of power in the specific area that feeds another area outside of demo area shall be connected or rerouted so the source of power is not interrupted. All new electrical work completed shall be marked at panel. All light fixtures shall have a separate ground. Light fixtures shall be supported from concrete slab to fixture and per electrical code. All walls shall require two coats of paint. Affected areas shall be covered with sprinkler heads to meet fire safety codes. All sprinkler work shall be performed with certified personnel. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials, (except for paint), and any other items necessary for the completion of alteration services.
