20 -- REFURBISHED GPS RECEIVERS SOL 8-4207 DUE 052198 POC Sandra Souders (301)713-0854 20 -- The U.S. Dept of Commerce/NOAA/Coast Survey Development Laboratory intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Ashtech, Inc. of Reston, Virginia to provide two (2) refurbished Z-12 Field Surveyor GPS Receivers that will make use of existing electrical cabling and mechanical mounts which have previously been established for Ashtech Z-12 receivers and antenna and have identical electrical interface connectors and physical mounting as those of an Ashtech Z-12. The GPS receivers must have the ability to lock and track both the "11" and "12" signals broadcast by the government GPS system. Furthermore direct, independent Y-Code correlation on both "11" and "12" is required as opposed to cross-correlation or frequency sequencing. The receivers must provide a binary output data in the Ashtech "MBEN", "PBEN", and "SNAV" formats to utilize existing software and data processing infrastructure. The refurbished equipment must provide no less than 90 days parts and labor warranty. The receivers must contain no less than 6Mbyte internal memory. Vendors that can provide this same equipment or equivalent are invited to submit their price quote along with information as to their capabilities and any other pertinent data to the address above, to be received no later than 15 days from the date of this notice.
