Solicitation number 1PI-Q-0066-98 is issued under the Simplified Acquisition Process. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Acquisition Procedures (SAP), the solicitation incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. The purchase is Panel Saw with a Firm Fixed Price. Item 0001 -- A & S Model 7 X 7 -- 10HS Horizontal Beam Scoring Panel Saw Equipped as follows: 122" Length of cut, 10 hp naub saw motor, TFEC, 3 phase, infinitely variable speed saw carriage feed 0-120 FPM, 7 X 7' beam of heavy-wall structural tube, 3 1/2" depth of cut with 18" diameter main blade, push-button control panel on swing arm, one adjustable carriage stop to preset carriage travel, air- operated pressure beam fully guards saw entire length of cut and serves as dust chute for collection, one of two, equaleveling rack-and-pinion mechanism on pressure beam prevents binding, entry table, 24" x 48", exit table #1, 24" x 120", exit table #2, 24" x 48", steel back fence, 24" cross cut fence, center section, 30" x 198", saw blade-side of machine is fully guarded, undertable dust extraction chute, air oiler/filter/regulator. Delivery, inspection and acceptance will occur at the FOB Destination point: Federal Correctional Institution FCI Marianna, Fl. Delivery is no later than 60 days after receipt of contract. Award will be made without discussions to responsive/responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, considering price and price related factors. Bidder must hold prices firm for not less than 30 days from the bid opening date.
