Easley -- 513-487-2027 WEB: Office of Acquisition Management --
Cincinnati Contracts Management Division,
http://www.epa.gov/oam/cinn_cmd. The USEPA, National Risk Management
Research Laboratory, requires an autosampler instrument to thermally
desorb absorbent air sampling tubes of volatile organic compounds and
introduce them to a high resolution capillary gas chromatograph. The
autosampler instrument must be capable of the following: (1) perform
heated dry purge of absorbent tubes to remove water vapor and oxygen
prior to thermal desorption; (2) heat absorbent tubes to effect thermal
release of absorbed analytes to temperatures as high as 350 C; (3)
refocus the desorbed analytes through appropriate water management
techniques and/or microscale purge and trap techniques for introduction
to 0.32 mm ID capillary chromatographic columns; (4) process at least
16 tubes before reloading tubes; (5) perform all operations under
computer control in synchronization with Hewlett-Packard Model 5890 gas
chromatographs running under Chemstation control; (6) monitor and
report temperature, flow and volume conditions during tube processing;
and (7) produce quality assurance reports summarizing conditions
during tube processing. All internal surfaces contacting the sample gas
stream shall be stainless steel or nickel with minimal use of Teflon.
All offerors who can meet the minimum specifications should submit a
quote. Quotations may be faxed to D. Easley at 513-487-2107. No
telephone requests will be honored. (0126) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0286 19980508\66-0007.SOL)
