W -- SELF-LOADING LOG TRUCK SOL RFQ R1-04-98-57 DUE 052098 POC FAX request (w/Name, Address, Phone, & Solicitation No) (208) 765-7307, Message (208) 765-7284, CO Fred Fischer (208) 765-7433 Services of fully operated self-loading log truck in various locations within the Coeur d'Alene River Ranger District, Shoshone and Kootenai County, Idaho, on a "Call When Needed" basis. One or more trucks will be needed on an intermittant basis for 1-5 days at a time over a period of approximately 10 week. Total estimated hours of use is 720 hours, there is no minimum guarantee. The work consists of loading and hauling logs or logs with root wads attached taken from decks for unloading at designated areas, loading single logs along Forest roads until a full load is achieved and use of the truck and loader for stream channel rehabilitation and fish habitat improvement projects. Equipment must be in good repair and meet State and federal requirements for hauling. It is expected equipment will be available and ready for operation within 48 hours of order.
