The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to procure through full and open competition a brand name only requirement for two (2) vertical turbine pumps (Ingersoll-Dresser Pumps, Model No. IDP 28KKM-1) for delivery and installation on the NIST Gaithersburg campus. The required pumps shall be capable of 9,000 gallons per minute (GPM) at 125 feet head at the discharge flange. The pump motors shall be vertical solid shaft turbine, 400 HP non-overloading, 1,200 RPM corro-duty high efficiency, TEFC. These units will be used to replace existing condenser water pumps at the NIST Building 302 cooling tower. All prospective offerors shall demonstrate previous performance and delivery of a similar system. Detailed specifications will be available in the solicitation package. The required delivery schedule (FOB Destination -- Gaithersburg) for this requirement is 180 days from award of a purchase order. All requests for a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) package shall be submittedin writing to the above address. All potential sources are invited to submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency.
