59 -- MAGNETIC MINESWEEPING CABLES SOL N00024-98-R-6317 POC 02632M, Ms. Traci Mounts, 703-602-7707 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue Solicitation N00024-98-R-6317 to BIW Cable Systems, Inc., 22 Joseph E. Warner Blvd., N. Dighton, MA 02674. The ensuing contract will be for the production of two (2) Magnetic Minesweeping Cable Assemblies -- Type Q3 Cables (NSN 2S 6150-01-440-3906) during FY99. BIW is the only contractor that possesses the unique equipment and tooling necessary to produce the Q3 cable. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies satisfy the Navy's requirements.
