This is a potential SOURCES SOUGHT notification for 750 VA 3 phase static inverters to be used on Military Aircraft. The Electrical Power Systems Division located at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is seeking potential sources for possible design and manufacture of 100 each, 750 VA 3f static inverters. The inverters should be a form / fit / function replacement of the current 750 VA 3f rotary inverter and meet MIL-STD 17406-3. Due to a bolt protruding down into the mounting area of the inverter, the height of the inverter is restricted to 7 " in that area. The bolt is located 2" to the left and 8 " deep when looking into the inverter mounting area. The inverter is mounted so the connectors face toward the outside of the plane. The width and depth of the inverter should remain as specified in MIL-STD 17406-3. Inverters must meet MIL-STD 17406-3 power requirements and be modified to meet the specified above height requirements. The electrical interface and mounting pad must also adhere to MIL-STD 17406-3.
