Breechplate, Countermeasures Chaff Flare is part of the ALE-47 (V) N reprogrammable Countermeasure Dispensing System that increases aircraft survivability by determining and executing the most effective off-board countermeasure response, thereby reducing cockpit workload. The breechplate will be manufactured in accordance with NAVAIR Drawing 3268AS600 and Acceptance Test Procedure 3268AS619. The contract will be a five year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with a minimum quantity of 200 units and a maximum of 1,400 units. Preliminary inspection will be at source with final inspection and acceptance at destination. A first article may be required. Items shall be shipped FOB destination to Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana. Deliveries will be required 120 days after issuance of delivery orders. The solicitation will be available via the Internet only at the NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane Homepage at http://www.crane.navy.mil and hard copies will not be mailed. It is anticpated that the solicitation will be posted on or about 24 May 1998 and offers wil be due on or about 23 June 1998 2:00PM local time.
