703/648-7362 The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement to lease
Ku-band space segment on a geostationary satellite with an orbital
assignment between 80 and 110 degrees West longitude. Transponder
footprint must include CONUS coverage plus southeastern Alaska and
Hawaii. One outbound and four inbound channels are required for a total
bandwidth of one megahertz. Each channel will require a bandwidth of
200KHz on a KHz center. Space segment must be compatible with the
Scientific Atlanta Skylinx.25 VSAT Communication System. This
procurement will be for a base period of 12 months with 4 option years.
Solicitation No. 98HQSS1007 is anticipated to be available on or about
May 22, 1998, with a closing date indicated on the solicitation.
