The Defense Supply Service Washington, in support of Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) and some Department of Defense and joint activities for which the Army is the executive agent to provide information technology support. The HQDA customer base comprised of over 5,000 users, is primarily located in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Other customers are located at Ft. Belvoir, Rosslyn, Alexandria, Arlington and Crystal City. The contractor shall provide support services in the following areas: Category I. Information Technology Support consisting of: planning and policy development, business process analysis and reengineering/systems analysis, requirements analysis, alternative analysis, design, software and hardware test and evaluation, implementation, test and acceptance, training, programming support, crisis management, database administration, major subsystem management, system and network monitoring and documentation. Category II. HQDA Tracking System and Category III. Security. This is a full and open competition. The Government will conduct oral presentations and as a result anticipates multiple awards in each of the categories. Contractors may be awarded in one or more of the categories listed herein. Some written material for evaluation will be required. Solicitation will be released no earlier than 15 days from date of publication. Telephone and telefax requests shall not be honored.
