It will focus on the technical improvements in locks, electronic access devices, and computerized key control systems. The Lock and Key Control Guide will contain contact information such as names, addresses, and phone numbers of applicable hardware/software manufacturers and their products. In order to ensure that the list of manufacturers is complete and accurate all potential suppliers of the below listed hardware and software are invited to submit their contact information and product descriptions to the address above. In order to be included in the Lock and Key Control Guide, all information must be received at MCA Engineers by June 15, 1998. Product descriptions should include, but not be limited to, (1) types and models of the hardware proposed; (2 ) materials of whichthe hardware is composed; (3) weakness or limitations of items proposed; (4) tests, if any, performed on the items to prove capabilities; (5) platforms and operating systems required to run any proposed software. The specific products desired are: Padlocks (low, medium, and high security); Mechanical (mortise, cylindrical, deadbolt, etc.); Electronic Access Controls (Card Swipe; PIN; Biometric); Key Storage Equipment (lockable key cabinets); Electro-mechanical Locks (Magnetic locks, electronic strikes/bolts); Access Control Equipment (turnstiles; man traps; etc.); all Lock & Key Control Software Programs.
