NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ5-75965-926) on a sole source basis for software maintenance/support for SGI Operating Systems. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Silicon Graphics/Cray Research Inc. as this item is proprietary to and only available from them. The authority is 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 22. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities.
