This action modifies the January 22, 1998 synopsis of Solicitation DAAE07-98-R-L004 as follows: The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command-Warren (TACOM-Warren) will be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the acquisition of 181,000 manhours of engineering and technical support for military and commercial trailers. The scope of the effort has been expanded to include tactical and semi-trailers in addition to current production trailers managed by the Deputy for Systems Acquisition office at TACOM-Warren. The period of performance remains at 60 months; the base level of support has increased to 6,000 manhours for the basic effort with 35,000 manhours for each of the five option years. The Government may require offerors to present oral proposals/presentations on the technical portion of the scope. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The recipient of this contract must possess an industry security clearance. A draft scope of work for this effort willbe posted on the TACOM Acquisition Center website www.tacom.army.mil/acqcen/warren.htm. When the RFP is released, it will also be available at the same website but the official RFP package will be the one provided to you through U.S. mail. The estimated release date of RFP DAAE07-98-R-L004 is modified to 26 May 1998. The estimated due date for Receipt of Proposals is 26 Jun 1998. Firms who have already submitted a written request for the RFP package need not request the RFP again. If you are requesting the proposal for the first time, please make a written request for the RFP package. Please include your firm's CAGE code, Central Contractor Registration (CCR) number, complete name and address, identify a point of contact, telephone number, datafax number, and an email address (if available), and the RFP number on your request.
