X -- FULL SERVICES TRAINING FACILITY SOL R5-98-15 DUE 070198 POC Contact: Contracting Officer, David Allasia, 415-705-2787 The USDA Forest Servic intends to negotiate a contract with the State of California Civilian Conservation Corps, Training Institute (CCC) to provide training facilities, full room and board, and administrative support for the Wildland Fire Fighters Apprenticeship Program. Facilities and support required for approximately 100 mixed sex apprentices each for two -- 30 day academies during the period of January 15, 1999 through April 15, 1999. CCC is the only known entity that offers a like training program where cross training is available at the same facility in south central California. Interested parties shall address the following criteria: (1) site within 30 minutes of a commercial airport in south central California; (2) rural/wildland setting; (3) minimum of 4 on-site training classrooms capable of holding 25 students each; (4) one classroom capable of holding 100 students; (5) separare male and female on-site sleeping rooms and restroom facilities; (6) kitchen facilities capable of handling a minimum of 125 people at each meal; (7) administrative support of the programs; (8) experience in hosting this type program; (8) physical fitness area; (9) affiliation with other Federal or State certified training programs.
