ALTER DEFENSE PRINTING FACILITY, LACKLAND AFB, TX -- - Contractor is responsible for the renovation of the interior of building 6629 on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, to accommodate a printing services facility. Building 6629 is 16,500 Square Feet with standing seam metal roof, dryvit exterior finish, concrete floor slab and foundation, wood framing and drywall interior. The renovation will consist of lead based paint and asbestos removal, installing new heating and cooling and electrical systems, constructing new partition walls, constructing new bathrooms, repairing about 25% of the floor slab and foundation, and installing a fire protection system. Supporting facilities include a new parking lot, utility connections, a loading dock, communications lines and landscaping. Estimated Value: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Specifications will not be provided in a printed paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through either 3.5" diskette, CD ROM, and/or the internet. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD ROM and the internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation.
