Work to be completed in multiple phases with several air handling units included in each phase to minimize disruption of USPS operations. Refurbishing work includes replace existing chilled water coils, clean intrior of AHUs, replacement/upgrade filters, install Variable Frequency Drives on air supply fans, replace supply fan motors with high efficiency motors, replace pneumatic damper actuators with new linkages and actuation, replace existing three (3) way chilled water control valves with two (2) way values, install of Variable Frequency Drives with high efficiency motors on pumps in secondary chilled water distribution system, and install new direct digital control system. Work also includes replacing AHU flexible connectors, access door upgrades, removing existing duct mounted air flow monitoring stations above the workroom floor for eachsystem, and conducting Air and Hydronic balancing and testing. An add alternate bid will be included for replacing selected electric heat SCR controllers. The estimated price range is between $950,000 and $1,200,000 with completion within 150 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on June 12, 1998 .
