99 -- THEATER MISSILE DEFENSE SYSTEM EXERCISER CAPABLE AN/TPS-59(V)3 RADAR ENVIRONMENTAL SIMULATOR POC Michael D. Blackstone, Contracting Officer, Marine Corps Systems Command, 703-784-5822 Ext. 253 The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Sensis Corporation, 5793 Widewaters Parkway, DeWitt, New York to design and produce seven (7) production level Theater Missile Defense System Exerciser (TMDSE) capable AN/TPS-59(V)3 Radar Environmental Simulators (RES). Options will also exist to procure up to four (4) additional TMDSE capable AN/TPS-59(V)3 RES systems as well as to upgrade the current prototype RES system to a production level configuration. This effort will capitalize on the current Sensis engineered AN/TPS-59(V)3 RES system, which was previously procured under Contract No. M67854-92-C-1069 in support of the AN/TPS-59(V)3 development effort, and will be utilized in support of training and testing requirements for the production/fielded AN/TPS-59(V)3 Radar system and in support of joint service (TMDSE) interoperability exercises. It is anticipated that the First Article unit will be delivered by no later than 12 months after contract award. All remaining unitsare expected to be delivered by no later than 24 months after contract award. Contract award is expected to take place during the first quarter of Fiscal Year 1999. No RFP is available for competitive bidding, however interested parties are encouraged to submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement. No telephonic requests will be accepted.
