dusenbuj@cc.tacom.army.mil. The Petroleum & Water Business Area of the
US Army TACOM-TARDEC in Warren, MI is seeking to identify sources that
are capable of providing emerging and current technologies that will
advance the Army's present capabilities in the following areas:
lubrication, fuel and water handling, distribution, storage, quality
and analysis, and water and wastewater treatment. The Petroleum & Water
Business Area is the Army's materiel developer for tactical petroleum
and water equipment. We have convened an Integrated Concept Team (ICT)
for petroleum and water with a mission to develop the Army's next
generation of tactical petroleum and water equipment in accordance with
the precepts of Force XXI and Army After Next (AAN). Force XXI is the
Army's initiative to meet the exceptional challenges of our changing
national security environment. This philosophy integrates and leverages
information technology, redesigns the tactical forces, and serves as
the bridge into the 21st century and the information age. AAN is the
concept for the US Army after 2010 and continuing through 2025 that
will lead to the development of the Army's future equipment. This force
modernization will be for the field user and must be small, light
weighted, mobile and rugged. Some of the hardware that the soldiers are
using include: nozzles, hoses, pumps, aluminum pipes, collapsible fuel
or water tanks, petroleum quality test kit, water test kit, mobile
laboratories, wastewater treatment units (reverse osmoses water
purification unit), and etc. For the modernization effort, there are no
limitations to the technologies being considered to carry out the
mission. Interested parties are invited to respond to this Sources
