Health Resources and Services Administration proposes to negotiate a
contract on a sole source basis with The Society for Teachers of Family
Medicine, 8880 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64114, to provide faculty
development in genetic medicine for Family Practice, Pediatric and
Internal Medicine physician faculty who teach primary care medicine to
medical students and/or residents in ambulatory community-based
settings. This contract shall prepare academic faculty and their
community colleagues of these three medical disciplines who are
associated with their educational programs with the knowledge, skills,
and attitudes essential to teaching and integrating genetic medicine
into primary care demonstrated through, but not limited to concepts
that relate to ambulatory care, community care, evidence-based
medicine, prevention, and psychosocial aspects of the practice of
primary care in ambulatory community-based setting. This requirement
will be for thirty-six months. The Society for Teachers of Family
Medicine is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the
required work and services as set forth in 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) 1. Only
one source is available. Interested parties may in writing, identify
