Contractors shall provide services, labor, and materials for fabricating three (3) cylindrical graphite liners for the "Hot-Tee" at the Hypersonic Tunnel Facility, Plum Brook Station, Sandusky, Ohio. These liners shall be fabricated from nominal 24" diameter cylindrical sticks of UCAR Carbon Company's Grade ATJ Isomolded Graphite, or a material having similar salient features (materials to be provided by the Contractor as part of this procurement). The horizontal, one-piece liner is approximately 21.45 inches in diameter by 74 inches in length. The upper vertical liner is a two-piece configuration: one piece is approximately 23.3 inches in diameter by 71 inches in length while the second piece is approximately 25.54 inches in diameter by 32 inches in length. The lower vertical liner is a on-piece unit approximately 25.54 inches in diameter by 59.2 inches in length. The magnitude of the construction project is estimated atbetween $100,000. And $250,000. Solicitation Forms will be available as soon as an opening date is established. Request for copies of this procurement should be revised as soon as possible in order to facilitate mailing of same to the extent copies are available. The proposed solicitation is unrestricted. A fixed price contract is contemplated. Business requesting copies of bid set shall indicate if interest is as a general or sub-contractor. All responsible qualified sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors/Bidders are further requested to submit request for this solicitation within 30 calendar days of posting in the Commerce Business Daily. Request shall contain the companies address, phone and FAX numbers. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
