70 -- HACCP DOCUMENTATION SOFTWARE SOL FSIS-18-W-98 DUE 052998 POC Contact Point, Janet Elm, (202) 720-0572 The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to award a contract to Food Processors Institute, 1401 New York Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20005,for the purchase of 430 copies of their HACCP Documentation Software. The software, which utilizes MS-DOS, is designed to guide users through the HACCP principles for development of a HACCP plan. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT AVAILABLE. Food Processors Institute is the only known source for providing this software. All interested concerns must identify their interest in writing and fully document their capability to meet the agency's requirements by forwarding a detailed response by May 29, 1998. All responses must be in writing and may be faxed to 202-690-1814. All proposals from responsible sources will be considered by the Agency. If no affirmative written response is received by May 29 to determine that a comparable source is available, or is more advantageous to the Government, negotiations will take place with the Food Processors Institute.
