Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for twenty each Helmsman
Chairs, bridge wing, NSN 2090-01-155-8180, Turnbull Enterprises P/N
544-202. These Chairs are used onboard the 41' UTB Coast Guard vessels.
It is the Government's belief that only Turnbull Enterprises, and/or
their authorized dealers, can provide these Chairs. However, other
potential sources can submit information concerning their capability to
supply these Chairs. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully
demonstrate the capability by submitting the following information: (1)
Data that the offered Chair has been satisfactorily manufactured for
the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer which includes
complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability
of the offered Chair (i.e., salient physical, functional and
serviceability characteristics); and (2) Data that the required Chair
has been previously provided to the Government or the Original
Equipment Manufacturer. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION
SHALL BE 28 MAY 1998. Information received after this scheduled
deadline will NOT be considered. When calling for a quotation package,
be prepared to state your name, address, and the solicitation number.
This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 5.207(e)(3) and TAM 1205.207.

informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to
assist minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises
to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation
related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending
Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
