The original synopsis was posted on 04/23/98 and Modification No. 1 was posted on 04/30/98. This notice serves as the official amendment; a written amendment will not be issued. Offerors shall acknowledge all amendments in their quote. The synopsis and solicitation are amended as follows: (1) The method of evaluation to be used by the Government to evaluate quotes is hereby included as follows: Award will be based upon overall best value to the Government, with consideration given to the factors of proposed technical merits, price and past performance; other critical requirements (i.e., delivery) if so stated in the RFQ will also be considered. Unless otherwise stated in the solicitation, for selection purposes, technical, price and past performance are essentially equal in importance. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer (See FAR 52.212-1(b))." (2) The paragraph stating the applicable SIC Code and Size Standard is amended to read as follows: The SIC Code and Size Standard are 8731 and 500 employees, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. (3) The due date for receipt of offers is extended to 05/26/98. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on May 22, 1998.
