(USAYPG) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Omnisoft,
Inc., to incorporate Y2K corrections to Omnisoft software imbedded in
two Trimble Navigation Vehicle Tracking Systems (VTS) and modify USAYPG
Contract DAAD01-98-P-1001. Omnisoft holds proprietary rights and source
code to the tracking software. Omnisoft is the only known source
capable of providing the corrections which possess the expertise,
manpower, technical information, and access rights to the proprietary
software. The Y2K corrections include, playback filtering, year
numbering, playback errors, buffer dump, hard drive capacity, upgrade
CPU/BIOS/OS, coordination of system options, icon upgrades, and ARTS
password display. The two VTS are located at USAYPG, Arizona. It is
anticipated that corrections will be incorporated by 30 September 1998.
It is the intent of the government to modify the existing contract
referenced above no later than COB on 20 May 1998. All responsible
sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. Offerors must
