Administration (SAMHSA) through the General Acquisitions Branch,
Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a seven month sole
source simplified acquisition to the Legal Action Center in New York,
NY. The contractor shall conduct between 2 and 4 in-depth case studies
of diverse communities which have implemented welfare reform. The case
studies will focus on the impact of welfare reform on substance abuse
service providers, consumers and their families. These case studies
will highlight issues such as recovery, depression and post traumatic
stress disorder which confront persons with addictive and mental health
disorders. Closing date is May 28, 1998. No solicitation is available.
