16 -- AN/AQS-14 DAVIT MODIFICATION ASSEMBLIES FOR MH-53E HELICOPTER SOL N61331-98-R-0020 DUE 063098 POC Shirley Regan, Contract Specialist, (850)235-5354, Carol A. Dreger, Contracting Officer, (850)234-4863 Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Florida has a requirement for the fabrication and delivery of thirty ((30) AN/AQS-14 Davit Modification Assemblies. The AN/AQS-14 Davit is used by crews in the MK-53E Helicopter for mechanical handling of towed equipment during launch and retrieval. In recent Fleet exercises, the AMCM squadrons have identified mechanical interface issues relating to the stream and recovery of both the AN/AQS-14 and the AN/ALQ-141 systems. Under the AN/AQS-20 XN-1 development program, modifications to the existing AQS-14 davit have been developed which will significantly reduce the problems associated with the current Davit. Contractor support is required for: (1) Fabricate and deliver Thirty (30) AQS-14 Davit Modification assemblies as per the AN/AQS-20 XN-1 drawing package to be supplied by COASTSYSTA, and (2) develop required documentation for the assembly, maintenance, and support of modifications. Delivery of the first ten assemblies shall be within six months after contract award. The remaining assemblies shall be delivered at a rate of five per month until the remaining twenty assemblies have been Received by the Government. A technical proposal is required.
