54 -- JOHN DAY ESBS, VBS, AND ORIFICE VALVE SOL DACW57-98-B-0013 DUE 071698 POC Contract Specialist MARTINA HARWOOD (503) 808-4614 (Site Code DACW57) Provide materials, labor, and equipment to provide 46 new Extended Submerged Bar Screens (ESBS); fabricate 45 Vertical Barrier Screens (VBS); repair 48 Juvenile Bypass Orifice Valve stem guides; remove 45 existing Submerged Traveling Screens (STS) and transport to storage site; and test ESBS, VBS, and orifice valve stem guides at John Day Dam Powerhouse, Rufus, Oregon. The project also includes supplying Electrical Control Panels, Spare Parts, and the Services of a Skilled Craftsman, and the following inspections: Government directed QA, Radiographic Weld, Ultrasonic, and Magnetic Particle. The work shall commence within 10 calendar days after the date of receipt of a signed contract. Delivery for the basic contract shall be no later than May 6, 1999, and shall include 18 ESBS, 18 VBS, and all 48 orifice valve stem guide work. The first option, if exercised, shall include 18 ESBS and 18 VBS, and shall be delivered no later than June 1, 2000. The second option, if exercised, shall include remaining 10 ESBS and 9 VBS, and shall be delivered no later than February 1, 2001.
