Jones, Contracting Officer, AMSAM-AC-SS-CC, (256) 876-1299 The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) anticipates a requirement for the following logistical services in support of the AMCOM Integrated Materiel Management Center: logistics data management, logistics engineering, material management and compilation/analytical logistics support, integrated logistics support (ILS), manpower and personnel integration (MANPRINT), logistics support analysis (LSA), logistical data management, and logistic engineering for AMCOM managed missile systems and associated equipment. This requirement was previously announced under Synopsis W-097, Submission Number (SN) 187376, and rescinded by Synopsis W-100, SN 188610 due to changes in the requirement. The revised requirement is being procured to provide interim support of the above described services until award of the planned AMCOM omnibus service contract, scheduled for Fiscal Year 2001, under which all subsequent logistics support requirements will be placed. This anticipated cost-plus-fixed-fee (level-of-effort) contract will be solicited as a 100 percent set-aside under the U.S. Small Business Administration's 8(a) Program with an applicable SIC Code of 8742 and associated size standard of $5 Million in average annual receipts. A single award will be made as a result of this solicitation. The requirement consists of a 12-month basic period of performance for 2,980 man-hours, which is augmented with a surge option for 132,080 man-hours of additional technical effort. The requirement also includes one additional 12-month surge option for the second contract period, consisting of 185,1120 manhours. The total period of performance of the contract, including all options, shall not exceed 30 months. A reading room for this requirement has been established. This facility is located in the Redstone Scientific Information Center (RSIC), Bldg 4484, third floor. Call 256-842-8446 for reading room appointments, which will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reading room hours are 0830-1130 and 1230-1530 Monday through Thursday, except Federal Holidays. Appointments shall not exceed three hours and are limited to no more than four people. There will be no classified documents in the reading room. U.S. citizens representing wholly owned U.S. companies or U.S. entities may review unclassified information with reproduction allowed. RSIC provides equipment and monitors for site reproduction. Representative of foreign owned companies/entities and non-U.S. citizens must get specific approval through intelligence and security channels. Anticipated issuance data of this solicitation is 30 May 1998. The solicitation, when issued, will be available on the AMCOM Acquisition Center Contracting Information System (Electronic Bulletin Board System (BBS)). The BBS may be accessed through the AMCOM Acquisition Center Home Page at the following Web Address: http://www.redstone.army.mil/acq.ctr/. At the home page, select "Acquisition Center Contracting Information System" (under Team Redstone Acquisition Information). Then select "Solicitations." It is the intention to fully utilize the BBS to issue the solicitation and offerors are strongly encouraged to access the BBS for obtaining the solicitation when issued. Note also that a hardcopy of the solicitation will be placed in the reading room upon issuance. However, should this prove an untenable hardship, hard copies will be provided on a case-by-case basis upon specific written request but shall in no manner be construed as a basis for extension of the proposal receipt date.
