Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), management and operating
contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site
(SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina. The purpose of this notice is to
determine public interest in the licensing the "Water Washable
Stainless Steel HEPA Filter." This invention provides a means of
filtering radioactive airborne particulates through a HEPA filter which
is not subject to water damage, and can be installed to allow in situ
cleaning via water jet. This invention uses sintered metal filter
material that eliminates the release of particulates to the atmosphere
with the same efficiency as filtration with a fiberglass filter
medium, but can be cleaned with water. Interested parties will be
provided with a technical brief and instructions on applying for a
license to this technology. A typical license agreement will contain
license fees and running royalties. Responses to this notice must be
