The work involves highly specialized genetic DNA testing and population modeling of these turtles. It is imperative that the University of Florida's existing sequence database be utilized to enable the linkage of stranded and nesting loggerheads to unique nesting colonies. No other firm is thought capable of performing this service. If capability statements demonstrating an interested party's ability to perform this service is not received within 15 days from the date of this announcement, an order will be placed with the University of Florida.
