The objective of the investment Division's Office of SBIC Operations is to process applications for new SBIC licenses and to conduct adequate and timely oversight activities for the protection of the integrity of the SBIC program and the protection of SBA's financial interest with respect to individual SBIC's. To accomplish the objective, SBA is seeking technical assitance in SBA's determination of valuations of individual protfolio investments of SBICs and training of SBA staff personnel in appropriate valuation methods and techniques.
