Repairs are required to fix a concrete erosion problem with the two
existing stilling basin floors. The contract work will include removal
of the existing eroded concrete surfaces as necessary, revising the
floor profile, replacing sill plates, adding steel reinforcement and
adding back the concrete needed to form the floor profile. High
strength silica fume concrete will be placed to provide a highly
durable floor that should be highly resistant to future erosion
processes. The floor profile will be raised slightly as needed to
provide a smoother flow pattern within the stilling basins. The end
baffles will be rebuilt as needed to bring them back into design. The
contractor shall be required to commence work under this contract
within five (5) calendar days after the Contractor receives Notice to
Proceed and to complete the entire work not later than 21 September
1998. The time stated for completion icudes final cleanup of the

1998 and will be issued on CD ROM at no cost. Tenative bid opening date
is July 7, 1998. The procurement is open to both large and small
business concerns. The size standard for which is a concern, including
all affiliates will annual sales or receipts for the proceeding three
years is not in excess of $17 million. All responsible sources may
submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Please indicate
business size when requesting bid documents. ATTENTION ALL GOVERNMENT
CONTRACTORS. A new proposed rule issued by the Department of Defense in
the Federal Register requires that all contractors must be registered
in the Central Contractor Registry before being awarded any government
contract by any Department of Defense agency. Information on how to
