The work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required to furnish and construct upgrades to the existing HVAC systems in the Integrated Avionics Shop. Work includes demolishion of existing ductwork and diffusers and pneumatic control system and disposal of debris off-site. Examine and test existing ductwork to remain, for the presence of air leaks. Recondition and service the existing steam boiler SB-1 to peak operating condition, for use with new humidifiers. The boiler is water tube, ASME certified, relief valve set at 15 psi, working pressure 10 psi, 1560 cfh natural gas. The boiler is currently not in service, but was working satisfactorily prior to shutdown. Provide new galvanized steel ductwork with supports, diffusers, return registers, grilles, and accessories. Provide new variable air volume boxes and new pneumatic control system. Provide a dedicated unit for the Noise Room (formerly Clean Room)with temperature and humidity control. Provide new humidifiers for the two airhandling units serving the interior building zone. Provide piping to connect humidifiers to reconditioned steam boiler SB-1. Perform field painting of exposed ductwork and supports and incidental related work. This is a firm fixed price contract. Potential bidders should request IFB N62474-98-B-3517 in writing.
