Z -- CORRECT WATER INFILTRATION, QUARTERS SOL 502-22-98 DUE 071098 POC Herman Chelette, ph (318) 473-0010 ext. 2239 Proj. 502-98-113 Furnish all labor, material and equipment to correct water infiltration into the multi-story residential quarters at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana. Work includes but not limited to cleaning, scraping and repairing all exterior masonry surfaces before applying new cementitious coating. Ornamental iron railings and columns contaminated iwth lead base paint shall be abated, repaired and painted or replaced to match exiting. The copper gutter, wood cornice, and exterior woodwork shall be repaired and if warranted, replaced. All exterior woodwork shall be painted. All copper downspouts shall be cleaned to bare metal, repaired and if warranted, replaced. The existing clay pipe storm sewer system shall be abandoned and replaced with new pvc piping. All wood trim at dormers shall be replaced. The abandoned electrical duct bank to each quarter shall be severed, capped and its entry into the quarters infilled and waterproofed. The garages shall be cleaned, repaired and painted. All metal roofing shall be cleaned and painted. Porch screening and wood framing will be replaced with new screen and aluminum framing. Existing clay tile roof shingles shall be removed, new roof felt and metal flashing applied and shingles reinstalled. (0138)
