GS-01P-98-BZC-0006, Repair and Alterations to U.S. Federal Courthouse, Providence, Rhode Island. Two Step Sealed Bid Procurement. Step one involves technical qualifications only(Past Performance, Key Personnel Resumes, and Management Plan). Step two is eligible to only to those qualified under step one. Solicitation Issue Date for technical proposals (Step One) is on or about 6-1-98. Construction start date is anticipated to be early October 1998. The Project is summarized but is not limited to the following: Substantial renovation and alterations of existing Federal Building and Courthouse in Providence, Rhode Island including preservation and reconstruction work for the building exterior and significant interior spaces. Work includes site redevelopment, selective demolition, hazardous material mitigation, roofing, structural improvements, restoration and extensions of existing interior historic decorations and finishes, new partitions, ceilings and finishes, new circulation and egress systems and modification of existing and new M.E.P. systems. The estimated cost range for this project is between $10 and $14 million dollars. This procurement is open to both small and large business concerns.
