RJV manages and operates a manufacturing ''job shop'' for NASA which fabricates space hardware and a Precision Calibration Laboratory. Rothe intends to purchase the hardware and software for a manufacturing management system referred to hereafter as a Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The MES will perform the following functions: (a) system security, (b) year 2000 compliance, (c ) job management, (d) order management, (e) job quoting/estimating, (f) job scheduling, (g) data collection, (h) job tracking, (i) inspection/quality assurance reporting, (j)via competitive sealed bidding, (k) financial accounting, (l) inventory control, (m) procurement/purchasing management, (n) shipping/receiving, (o) report tool formation, and (p) follow-on maintenance & training.
