Hamric, Contracting Officer, (703) 875-6842 The Department of State intends to retain the capability under Contract 0000-025007 with Wang Government Services, Inc., to purchase Wang VS proprietary hardware and software required to support Y2K compliant platforms through the August 19, 2001, expiration date of the contract. This capability will ensure the proper framework to support the Department's Wang corporate applications. This capability may involve application software and utilities not purchased from Wang that are currently residing on a system, and non-Wang purchased hardware connected to the VS systems. This notice is applicable only to ensuring Y2K compliancy of existing proprietary Wang VS systems. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
