D -- TRANSCRIPTION/DICTATION SYSTEM SOL RFP 549-96-98 DUE 060998 POC Susan Lam, Contract Specialist (214) 302-6816 The Department of Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) has a requirement to procure transcription/dictation system. The Dictation System for Bonham shall include at the minimum: 1) Digital Voice Series I Emergency Back-up Windows NT workstation. 2) Single Pentium 200MHz, 14 ports installed (expandable to 16 ports) 64 MB RAM, 140 hours (dual 3.1 GIG (Redundant) hard drives), to include 1 Six Port Bias Box, CD-ROM, 1.44 Floppy, Keyboard, Mouse, 14" SVGA Monitor, IDE Mirroring Controller, Video Controller, 33.6 Baud Modem and PC Anywhere 32 Bit Software, 400 Watt Power Supply, Windows NT Workstation Software, B-Trieve Software with 10 User License and 3COM 10/100 Network Card. Deluxe Transcription station (including foot control and headset also covered under service agreement). The Dictation System for Dallas shall include at the minimum: 1) Digital Voice Series III Hot Swap Windows NT Advanced Server dual Pentium 200 MHz, 48 ports installed (must be expandable to 96 ports within a single enclosure) over 1000 hours (4-9GIG (RAID LEVEL FIVE) SCSI Hard Drives) 128 MB Ram, 20 Slot Passive Backplane, Hot Swap Dual 400 Watt Power Supplies (800 Watts Total) to include: 3 Six Port Bias Boxes, Quad Speed SCSI CD-ROM, 1.44 Floppy Drive, Keyboard, Mouse, 14" SVGA Monitor, Mega Raid Dual Channel Disk Controller, 16 MG RAM for Controller, Eight (8) Hot Swap SCSI Drive Trays, 33.6 Baud Modem and PC Anywhere 32 Bit, 17 Internal fans, Smart UPS and Software, B-Trieve Software with 10 User License and 3COM 10/100 Network Card, (ISO 9901, Novell, Windows NT, FCC and UL Certifications). The Transcription/Dictation System must be able to network with the Dallas and Bonham VA. All hardware and software should be in compliance with Year 2000. All software must have the ability to interface with VA's Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architect (VISTA) system. Please note: there will be equipment that will be traded-in. The transcription/dictation system will be installed in two different locations (Bonham which is 90 miles from the Dallas VA and Dallas VAMC). The standard SIC code is 7373 and the small business size standard is $18 million.
