It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period February 1, 1999, through January 31,2001, plus 3 governmental unilateral renewal options of one year. The approximate average capacity strength is 496 students (233 are residential males, 225 are residential females, 14 are nonresidential males, and 24 are nonresidential females). There will be a preproposal conference held at 9:00 at the following address: Miami Aviation Branch, 29390 Customs Road, Homestead, HARB FL 33039. Take Biscayne Blvd. exit off the Florida Turnpike. There will be a tour of the facility following the preposal conference. The contractor shall provide academic and Vocational Training, operate a Counseling and Residential Living Program, and operate the following support services: Health Services, Processing of Student Records, Discipline System, Clothing Issue, Mail Services and Legal Services. The contractor will also provide overall Center Management and Administration as follows: Contract and Personnel Administration, Staff Training, Financial Management, Procurement and Property Management, Facility Operations and Maintenanace, Security and Safety Services, Community Relations and Public Information. All questions prior to the Pre-Proposal Conference should be sumitted in writing. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due no later than 2:00 p.m. local time on August 14, 1998 at the address listed above.
